Blissfield Presbyterian Church

Helping Hands

Helping Hands is a Monday morning activity, where individuals gather to make items for people in need. They are making quilts for distribution to the Catherine Cobb Shelter, and other locations to provide comfort to individuals in transitions in their life. They knit prayer shawls for individuals who have been sick, as well as hats for cancer patients. They have made dresses to be shipped to Africa and to Central America, and Stuffed Hearts for breast cancer patients. They gather at 9am and go until about Noon. The group is made up of church members and non-church members, just people who enjoy doing something for others, and working with others, while doing a good deed.
All are welcome.

Tasty Tuesday Meal

The Tasty Tuesday Meal is a free meal provided for anyone in the greater community who could use a good meal. First Presbyterian decided to follow the example of St. Paul’s Lutheran, and provide a free meal once a month. We work with Liz Seeburger (Catering by Liz) and provide a free meal to any who call in and request a meal delivered or for pick up. We have received a grant from United Way, and the church picks up the remainder of the cost. Volunteers help prepare the food, package the food, and deliver the food on the fourth Tuesday of each month.
It is a gift of love to the community with no strings attached.
